A nice suprise
So a few weeks ago a new neighbor moved in and while the movers were bring there furniture in they dropped a chair on the hood of my car...I went outside to find a note saying " Hi neighbor we dropped a chair on your car" So I stopped by and told them it was no big deal; the dent is only about 4 inches long and not bad at all. They offered to pay any damages that needed to be fixed. I told the wife it was really ok dont worry about it. So Im getting ready to go to work and there is a knock on my door and its the wife, she got me a gift cert for $100 to Linens -n- Things, she said it was great that I didnt make a big deal of it and didnt want to make ill feelings with any neighbors being new. I just thought was the nicest thing. So needless to say I went online and spent it  .
Just wanted to share in my nice suprise.

You are nicer than I would have been. If someone damaged my car- no matter how small- they'd be paying for it.

Its only a car right? if a window was broken that would have been a differnt thing but a scratch...not a biggie!!

That was very nice of her to give you a $100 gc to linen and things,even though you said to her not to worry about the damages those you can say are very honest people and its good they wanted to pay you in some way for the damage of the car, even if its a gc to a store.

Me too, but that is a really great gesture by your neighbor. Most people would just ignore you & think they got off the hook!
