A ovulation ? for you lovely ladies

Hi Ladies,

I'm sorry to crash, but I have a question. For those of you that do not ovulate regularly, how did you know? Were you working with an OBGYN at the time or did you go straight to an RE? What's the course of action after you were "diagnosed?"

Thank you in advance for all your expertise! Chat Icon to everyone!

Re: A ovulation ? for you lovely ladies

When I went off the pill I didn’t get AF for a long time (80+ days) so I went to my ob/gyn who gave me provera. The next cycle I started temping, so I know that I did O that next cycle. However I have continued temping and I actually haven’t O’ed since and that was in August. I went back to the ob/gyn who gave me clomid unmonitored but I wasn’t happy that she didn’t give me any real diagnoses or care really, so that’s what made me decide to switch to an RE. I have been with the RE since and have not gone back to my ob/gyn. I will prob switch to a new ob/gyn when/if I do get a BFP.

But anyway I was able to determine I wasn’t Oing from both temp charting and never getting AF on my own.

When I went to teh RE they did a bunch of testing and turns out I have PCO with high LH. I did that first clomid cycle but it was a bust. Next cycle moving on to femara and injectables since I didnt have much of a clomid response (other than a mild allergic reaction Chat Icon ). If i stayed with the ob/gyn i would prob still be wondering if I was going to O from that clomid cycle so I'm glad that I switched to an RE! Best decision I have ever made.

Good luck!!

I have PCOS and don't get my period at all. Its been drilled into my head for the last 15 years that getting pregnant wouldn't be easy. I went straight to the RE.

Gyn was always giving me provera but I wouldn't get AF ago after I used it.
