A question about getting a blowout the night before and going to an event the next day
We have an early wedding in MA next month and I'm wondering what to do with my hair. It is too early for me to get it done the day of. My salon is open until 8:30 the day before. I have to get a cut and highlights anyway, so should I make my appointment for 7pm and have my hair blown out? That way I'm washing my hair very late so it is fresh for the next day. Since the wedding is over early-ish (10pm), I shouldn't worry about my hair getting too oily, right?
Has anyone done this before? Any tips on how to keep it fresh and how to sleep on it?
Thanks!

You can wrap your hair the night before with bobby pins... and a satin pillow works too.
I always like my hair the day after for some reason lol
OH, also make sure she doesn't put alot of product in your hair.. especially not in the roots..

I wonder if curls would last better than just a straight blow out. Do you happen to know?

It depends on your hair. For me, a blow out would last better than curls. My curls tend to fall relatively easily, especially after sleeping on them all night. But most people I know, keep their blow outs for 2 or 3 days- it'll be fine the next morning.

I think it should be fine the next day, I would blow it straight.
For the next day if you need to you can put dry shampoo or baby powder on palms of your hands, flip your head over and rub it into your roots. That always makes my hair look fresh and gives it volume in the roots again..

What kind of dry shampoo do you use? I tried one that was a spray and it made my hair look very greasy, can't remember what it was though.

I have a couple of different ones but I always seem to grab the baby powder. As long as your rub it in good it doesn't show and my hair is brown. The dry shampoos I have are Oscar Blandi and Stila. The Stila one is much better IMO..
oh and it definitely doesn't look greasy afterwards, it looks fresh and sometimes better than right after I blowdry it..
