If you put bananas in the fridge do they last longer?

This is what I heard....I heard though that if you separate the bananas when you get home from the grocery store they will last longer than if they stay together in a bunch.

yep...I mashed some bananas the other day, put them in the fridge, and they were basically black.

I've also made the mistake of putting a whole banana in the fridge-same.Chat Icon

Putting them in the fridge makes them go bad faster, but if you freeze them, they make good teethers!!

You know those "Green Bags" you can get at Bed Bath Beyond or Stop and Shop? They really work, they make fruits and veggies last a lot longer before going bad. I've used them on bananas, berries, lettuce, all sorts of things that don't tend to last long.
