So sad. My favorite Murcer memory was the game he had after Thurman Munson's death...he scored all the runs in the game. He always seemed like a sweet, genuine guy.
ETA: Joe Girardi just had me in tears...his interview after he found out.

On this day we also lost Thurman Munson. RIP, Captain Thurm! Tonight, YES Network will be showing his Yankeeography and the Yankee Classic game following Munson's funeral.
