A short update
Well the "final" IUI cycle which Dr. chu was so excited to get on to...doesnt seem to be going ANYWHERE
Been 8 days of injectables so far, increased dosage and still only 4 in the other dr's words" very tiny" follicles...actually the smallest I have ever had...and low low estorogen.....LOL ....so....Im not too optimistic. Of course things can change overnight...so I will keep praying they do...but Im obviously not responding well this month. I think 3 of them were still under 10mm, but measured for the hell of it...to humor me I guess....
On a side note- I gained some much weight from the meds last month, I have been SO careful what I eat and Im down 5 lbs since last week! and my blood pressure is actually low again and not through the roof like the meds made it last month..so at least Im healthy right?

Re: A short update
Donna,
First, congrats on the weight loss. It is so hard and people don't realize that the meds put on the pounds but at the same time it's so important not to gain weight... but then the doctor will say no heavy exercise so.... what is one to do ? Good job. What did you do, just really watch what you eat, cut carbs, etc?
I'm sorry about the news regarding the follicles. Did Dr. Chu give you a reason as to why she thinks there mught be a difference this month? Any difference in your numbers?
BTW: I had my IVF consult with her yesterday in her Huntington office.

Re: A short update
Donna....hang in there. I was told that I would be on the injectables for about 7-10 days...I think I was on for about 15 days and they up'd the dosage to the max for me. I was taking 4 vials of gonal-f along with 1 vial of repronex each night (with lupron in the mornings). I was getting very frustrated at the amount of meds I was taking, and the lack of follies I was getting....but in the end, it worked. Good luck and much baby dust

The good news is they are there, so hopefully they will just keep growing. Who did you see today?

thanks! thanks all of ya's!
I saw Dr. Rosenfeld this morning.
This time last month on a LOWER dose I started out with like 8-9 follies and 3 large ones with an IUI date in mind , now we just wait. Its just my frustration talking....Thanks for listening all... Im truly NOT complaining....just wondering why my body is so messed up.

First, congrats on the weight loss. It's really hard.
Any possible explaination as to why the difference? I do recall reading about how it really takes follicles about 90 days to mature (if that's the correct terminology). For example, sometimes it take a few months of a buildup of drugs before a woman ovulates, etc. Could it be maybe something that was going on a few months ago? When did you have your surgery? I'm just wondering if it could stem from that.
's to you.
I LOVE Dr. Rosenfeld and will miss him now that I'm onto IVF with DR. Chu. On one of my appts. we had a great discussion about history and our dogs, both named Molly. My friend who had the triplets, he was her doctor. All she said to me, before I went for my appt. was, "Oh, he is so good looking." I think she had a crush on him and used to look forward to going to the office
BTW: I feel sooooooo less stressed going to their office over the one we went to before. It's like night and day. I actually enjoy going because I know they have my best interests at heart. Everyone is so friendly and so helpful. A nurse there was the first EVER to tell me my blood pressure was a bit on the low side so to drink plenty of water. No other med. professional told me that, ever!
