A symptom I can't kick - (maybe TMI)
would be constipation!!!!!!!!!!!
Never in my life I have I always been so friggin clogged. I used to go daily, like clockwork! Now, I'm lucky if I can get one out every 2 days.
I'm eating lots of fiber which is supposed to loosen it up but it just doesn't seem to make a different. Sooooo annoying!!!!

I know it's not funny, but you just made me think of Belly Laughs and her chapter on constipation.
I'm sorry that this is happening? Does constipation go away or no?

Water is no issue here - I drink anywhere from 80-96oz a day!

Do you think it's your prenatal too?

I don't think so. Only because I was talking them 3 months before preggo. And this symptom has developed within the past month - haven't had it all along.
I hope it passes!

I would avoid tea. Its a diretic. Also white bread, and even Dairy. Maybe you have iron in your multi that is not agreeing with you. I have Perfect Prenatals from the health food store. Only had constipation once.

I take 200mg of colace- per my doctor and it helps. I'm happy when I go every other day.

ahhh I feel for you.. I went thru this before I was PG, now I'm the complete opposite. I'm pg and go all the time! Can you take metamucil when your pg? Not sure if you can, but that always helped me when I was backed up before I became pg.

I'm having the same problem!! It started at 4w and now I'm 11w6d. My doctor told me metimucil is fine but it didn't seem to make much of a difference. I want to change my prenatal, my cousin told me she was taking citrical with dha and it had a natural stool softener in it. I want to try it.

The ONLY thing that got me back on track was drinking coffee again.

Now that you mention it, my bowel issues kicked in when I kicked coffee. That might be it!
How much coffee can we have? I think its up to 2 cups a day.

Re: A symptom I can't kick - (maybe TMI)
I had the same problem and I spoke to my OB who thought it might be the prenatal vitamin I was on, so she switched me (even though I was taking it for 4+ months and didn't have these problems).
Within 2 days I was back to "normal" and have had no problems since! My new prenatal has a stool softner, so I guess that helps too!
Good Luck to you...believe me I know what you are going through!
