A tip for the mommies to be...
Stock up on thank you cards! Jake is almost 3 months old and I'm STILL receiving gifts for him. I don't think a week has gone by that we didn't get a little something from someone for him.
I don't know if it's just because I had a small turnout at my shower but I ran out of cards and we got two more gifts this week so now I have to go buy more!

If you are ordering announcements and they come with thank yous order more of the thank yous than announcements.... We ordered 150 announcements and 200 thank yous..... and boy am I glad that we did!!!!

Thanks for the advice, I am not a mommy, but my best friends baby shower is in a few weeks and I am going to put a bunch of boxes of thank you cards and put them in her wishing well!!

I totally agree I send out continuos thank you's you would be surprised how many people give gifts- even if they dont know you directly.
