A tour through the radio dial with Katherine Emer...
I promise you, I couldn't make this up if I tried...
So we're getting ready to leave yesterday and we hear on the radio, "It's too late to 'pologize...it's too laaaate..." Katherine insists, "No, it's NOT to late to pologize! It's still DAYTIME!"
So, we get in the car and take off from Queens for White Post Farms (which is adorable, BTW, especially if you're a SAHM climbing the walls  ), so a bit of a drive...
The first song that comes on is Rhianna "Don't Stop the Music." Kate asks "What's this song?" I reply, "Don't Stop the Music." She says, "NO! Don't stop the music!" I said, "I'm not; it's the name of the song!" After several more attempts to assure her, she says, "But I LIKE the music; don't stop it!"
Of course the very next song is No Doubt "Don't Speak." Again, "What's this song?" Me: "Don't speak" Her: "Why don't speak mommy? I WANT to speak!" Well, my wishes on that matter never stopped her before so I'm not sure why she was so concerned.
Finally, to complete the suicide mission, I decide to take the girls to McDonald's after. What's playing there you ask...Fergie "Big Girls Don't Cry." Last time, "What's this song?" "Big Girls Don't Cry." "Yes, mommy, they DO cry sometimes!!" Sigh...boy do I know it...

I love reading these posts about all the childrens personalities... makes me wonder what kind of personality my dd will have.. she doesnt talk yet but boy does she know how to express her opinion on things already.
