AAA (Auto Club of NY)
Does anyone have a membership? If not, do you have another membership to another auto club.
I got something in the mail and I'm thinking about getting a membership.

We have AAA membership, and luckily (knock on wood) haven't had to use their services. But you do get a lot of discounts by being a member.

Danielle and I are members - we have used their services once already when my exhaust fell off my car - they towed me to the mechanic for free...I paid nothing. Just a tip

I've had the membership before but I just realized that on my last two cars had roadside assists but now I don't have them and I totally forgot to get it. I was just wondering if there were any other choices out there.

same here, plus if you go away and stay at a hotel, or even disney, they give you a discount.

I used to work for AAA yrs ago. they definitely are the biggest and best, IMO.
I think Amoco and Allstate have auto clubs too. it might be worth it to compare them all.

We have it -- luckily we haven't had to call them but the discounts we have received on car rentals & hotel reservations more then makes up for the annual dues.

I have it and don't think I would ever give it up. When I have had to get towed, they responded very quickly. I also use the discounts for hotels when we go to a participating hotel. I have also used the Triptik service and when I travelled cross country the travel books and campsite books were like our bible to call a night or two in advance to book a room.

We have it and it definitely gives us peace of mind. We also got a discount when we rented a car in Nashville.

Same here. I use it for discounts at hotels, museums, theme parks, etc. They even have an in house travel agent in case you need it (I never used it though). The maps are great and the peace of mind is worth it....believe me I have used it on several occasions! It's worth the price.

I agree - I've had a membership for many years now, and it has saved my arse quite a few times when I've gotten stuck -
Plus the trip tix and the discounts on theme parks, etc, is a nice perk (we used the AAA travel agency for our of our Disney trips and found that the prices were really good thru them!)

They have insurance services as well- at least the ones here in CA do- and they are so cheap for amazing coverage. We are paying about 1/2 for our homeowners insurance since we already have car insurance through them.

I love AAA I have been a member since 92 when I graduated from HS. They have the best customer svc IMO. They call you to make sure everything went ok. They will jump a battery. Tow you 3 miles for free, change a tire for you. Really anything I highly recommend them

I always had it -since I could drive
but now my car has free road side assistantance- so I just use that- I got a flat once- they came in 2 minutes

it's awesome!
We used them jjst last week when we blew a tire and had no spare. They towed our car to their serie station for free, and they were just so nice.

DH and I are members. They came to fix my flat tire on the Jeep which I could not do myself. THat alone paid for the membership. Plus I just got a ton of maps and tour guide to the next places we will be visiting -- VT, Colorado, Boston.... we love AAA!
