Paige is always trying to reach for things on the changing table. But i give her the brush and she rolls back over. I really dont have any advice. I heard all babies do this. Paige just wants to grab everything.

aww first a big ! I know it makes you want to every kid goes through this and eventually it stops.
I would have an assortment of things to give Nikolas, from desitin boxes and containers, to lotion bottles, brushes, toys, bottles. I found that he likes diapers the best. I tell him to find Blue or Elmo and he laughs.
Best of luck to you!!!

No advice, we go through the same thing all day, every day... it's gotten to the point where I need a drink before a diaper change because I KNOW it's going to be a battle I practically have to PIN the kid down as he screams bloody murder just to change a freakin diaper
I try to distract him also with just about anything I can but 90% of the time NOTHING works and I just have to be quick about it. I have almost perfected changing his diaper while he is standing in his crib screaming but for poop diapers that isn't always an option
I hope it gets better for you... it seems to be SO common though

I give Cailen an old pacifier to play with - since he hasnt had one since he was 2 weeks old, its fascinating to him!!! He doesnt even suck on it right!!!
I also keep a little teddybear for him to play with, and a brush - it doesnt nip it in the bud, but it helps distract him for 3 second intervals!!! You can get a lot done at that time!!!

Re: aaaahhhhh between the wrestle mania at diaper changes and the temper tantrums if unable to roll over im exhausted......any advice PLEASE.
I went through this off and on for a loooong time. Its miserable.
I would get brief opportunities for peace when I was really, really creative. Like putting her pants on my head, or pulling out bunny ears from a Halloween costume. These tricks would work like twice and then be over so I'd save them for the messy poopy diapers. I also used a portable changing pad, and giving her funny pillows to lie on also bought me a few changes - like a big stuffed dog under her head. Sometimes belting out a song would work, sometimes that would just make her angry. ARGH!
She has finally, finally outgrown this for 90% of changes, but there is still the 10% where my leg goes across her chest while I do the change as fast as possible.
I wish I had a magic answer for you.
This wasn't my issue (my daughter just didn't want to be still), but a friend of mine found some peace when she switched to pull ups so that the baby didn't have to lie down during changes.

JAG is like that when we change him too. It's insane the poor kid is screaming bloody murder. We have four adults in this house that each take their turn changing him. Not one of us has figured out how to calm him down. If I figure out some sort of amazing trick I will be sure to share it with you ladies.

I can't find a bigger picture of this...but this is a really popular changing mat in the UK. they have them in the changing rooms at lots of shops like Boots. Its called the Rabbitt and its expensive (about £29.99) but its fantastic! My friend has one, I don't have too much trouble with diaper changes...I have mastered the art.

I am having the same problem with both of my kids. I absolutely dread diaper changes. I'm always looking for something new to give them when I change diapers but nothing seems to work for more than 1 change.
