Aaand it starts again, stroller dilemma, PLEASE help me decide on one!
So finally got around to registering . We don't really need much , but one of the items we need is a new stroller. My DD is almost 5 , haven't used a stroller since she was 2.5 so no idea what is out there. With my DD we had 5 different strollers (don't ask, lol) our main one was Bugaboo but I ended up selling it later on, throwing one away, donating one and giving away one, kept one little one for travel overseas "for the future" ...
So this time around my plan is : use snap and go in the beginning, for as long as possible and then just use a stroller, so basically the plan is to have just ONE good stroller. I have heard a lot of rave about City mini, but I also remember Maclarens were the big thing when DD was a baby. We def can't afford anything over $250 maybe 300 . We need something that is easy to push not too heavy folds easily has a good size & easily accessible busket Preferably has a cup holder but it's not a must . Please help me find and decide on a stroller, please share what you have and what would you recommend.
Thanks in advance

I love my britax b-agile! Its almost identical to the citi mini but since i wound up getting a britax carseat also it made more sense for me to get a britax so it just snaps directly into the stroller without an extra piece.

Aaaahhh...stroller shopping. So much fun and I can't wait to do it again
DD is 4.5 so we haven't really used a stroller lately but I went through lots of strollers for her (over 20) including the Bugaboo.
If you decide to go that route again you find Bugs for under $300 on CL.
However with the wants you listed I really think the City Mini is your best bet. They have a cup holder and snack tray you can buy separately as well as the car seat adapter. It folds SUPER easy, pushes pretty nice (not as great as a bug but pretty good for a lightweight umbrella type stroller). Also brand new the stroller is $250 so it's within your price range if you don't want used. I noticed this is the new "it" stroller even in the city. I think the fact that it's so convenient to fold and pushes easy plus has a great canopy etc makes it a great buy. I believe Baby Jogger is coming out with a version of the Baby Jogger City Mini where you can reverse the seat to face you. That's not coming out until the summer though.
If you like the baby facing you option I would also look at a used Bee. No snack tray but small fold, pretty light, pushes AMAZING, can buy a car seat adapter, etc.
Another option that I fell in love with at BRU while shopping for a baby shower was the Peg Perego Pliko 4 Switch (seat with baby facing you) and the Peg Perego 4. I also had and loved the Peg Perego Si and passed it on to a friend. It pushed great and personally I love Peg strollers.
The one stroller I did hang on to was a hand me down Peg Perego P3 that is almost 9 years old and very used but still looks brand new. They really do hold up well and the seats are nice and plush for an infant and wash so well.
Peg Perego Switch, P3 and P4 also have a built in toddler step which is great for kids your DD's age. You really don't need a buggy board but on those occasions that your DD wants to hitch a ride the option is there. Good Luck.

I have the Uppa Baby, Chicco Liteway Stroller and just recently got a used Citi Mini...I love the uppa baby but when I bought the city mini wow its a great stroller, it folds soooo easly, it fully reclines, awesome large hood and rides smooth, only con is the basket but I have an older version so the new ones I heard is better.

I have the 2011 citi mini and love it. My biggest issue with it is how hard it is to put and take out the diaper bag from the basket. We had to condense my diaper bag into two smaller ones, in order to pull them in and out of the basket with more ease. The 2012 makes it a bit easier, but still isn't ideal. The 2012 models run $250.00.

i started with the travel system, a snap and go, and a liteway stroller.
I got the citi mini and love it.
I have since sold the the travel system stroller as i plan on using only the snap and go if and when i have another one. The citi mini is lite and works great. i got the snack tray with so it could feel more like the tavel systme one which is what i like about the travel system

I got a 2011 City Mini for this baby and I really love it. If I hadn't saved DS's "snap-n-go" (graco's version), I would actually prefer to use the City Mini with the car seat adapter. It's light, super easy to fold and can be steered with one hand. I treated myself to the bassinet attachment and have been really happy with that also.
My only complaint is the size of the basket. But my likes still outweigh this.
(My stroller with DS was the Peg Perego Uno. Good stroller but heavy. The basket is enormous! It didn't work well for a day in the City and the steering when you reversed the handle bars is awful so it really only works with the baby facing out.)

This for me too! We started out with the Chicco Cortina Stroller and I hated it. It was so big and heavy. I went to BRU with the intention of getting the citi mini but the saleman sold me on the britax b-agile. Super light, easy to manuever, smooth ride. Plus, DH is a huge fan b/c there's no bar on the bottom between the 2 back wheels for him to kick.

I too had 5 strollers with my 1st DD. With my second I did the snap and go and then got a City Mini. I truly love it!

Re: Aaand it starts again, stroller dilemma, PLEASE help me decide on one!
I got the Peg Perego Pliko travel system and my DH hates the stroller. It is so difficult to push around stores and our neighborhood sidewalks are so uneven with big tree roots that it is a really bumpy ride for DD. I broke down last week and ordered the 2012 City Mini GT with the "forever" tires off Amazon and used Amex points towards the balance. I cannot believe how smooth it is! It is super-easy to fold and is lighter than I expected. What I'm not crazy about is that I can't put the diaper bag over the handle and the basket is not large and kind of triangular in shape. Also, my DD is a peanut and is kind of too small for it at 14 lbs. I think she prefers to sit in the Peg right now but I am very impressed with the City Mini.
