??? about appetite- 4 1/2 month old
i just started giving my son cereal a few weeks ago...he's now eating it twice a day-in the morning and at night.
he's not drinking as much formula though and the night time feeding he barely has been eating anything.
Is this common??? I'm wasting so much formula because he was drinking 7 ounces each bottle and now sometimes he's having 4 or 5... maybe i should start making smaller bottles again

I havent started DD on cereal yet, but she drinks alot of formula right now anywhere from 6-8 oz at a time. I was worried about that, and peds says its okay right now. My sister said the amt of formula consumed will go down when i start cereal. So thats what happened to your DC, Im sure once the stomach gets adjusted to the cereal, the formula amt will increase.

Sounds totally normal. About how much formula is he getting per day (including the amount you put in the cereal)?

i believe it's because he's eating cerel,it's filling him up more than just liquids.to be sure ask your doctor.
