? about BF weaning and body changes
What can I expect? DD turned 11 months yesterday. Because of a number of different things going on, I decided to stop BF. I was a mess yesterday, but I know it is the time to stop for us.
Now I am nervous about what to expect as far as my body. AF came back at 7 months, but will I gain all the weight back? I am 10 lbs less than I was before pregnancy. I feel a bit "full" today, but not engorged or in pain. What about the hormones? Will I be a wreck?
Any advice is appreciated.

I BF'd both girls and did not gain the weight back. My boobs however, got smaller than where I started, which was a cruel joke considering I did not have much to begin with. DAMN!

Re: ? about BF weaning and body changes
I definitely went through a bit of a hormonal imbalance when I weaned. I did it gradually, so if you're stopping cold turkey I would assume you'd go through it a little more.
I would just express a little in the shower so they wouldn't get engorged, but not to the point of allowing them to "let down". If you express or pump to that point, they'll still think they need to produce and that they're being used...so my suggestion would be to just relieve youself a little here and there if they get too engorged.
It didn't take long for mine to go back how they were before BFing. I really haven't noticed any difference in their shape or size.

I was down to only 2 feedings a day (night and morning), so hopefully the adjustment won't be to bad. Thank you.
