? about bloat
Do you think you can prevent all bloat as long as you drink a ton of water?? My sister got really bloated toward the end of her pg and in delivery and even was still a little after. Although I don't think she drank much water b/c she hates water..but u think it can be prevented?

Re: ? about bloat
I haven't had too much trouble with bloating. I do think that it has something to do with the fact that I drink a ton of water.

Re: ? about bloat
I am very bloated, esp in ankles, calves, feet, hands, & wrists.
Was told drinking water (I drink avg 80 oz/day) and walking woud help w/ bloating.
So far not working well with me.

Re: ? about bloat
I think it's preventable as long as there are no underlying conditions (like hypertension) causing it.
Water alone isn't enough though. You would also have to really cut back on salts & anything esle that retains water.

Re: ? about bloat
I think its combo of diet (sodium intake) and water + some dispositon to bloat. You can drink a lot of water and still bloat if you are eating a lot of high sodium stuff.

Re: ? about bloat
I retain a ton of water regardless of being pregnant...
In the past Ive always been on bedrest at the end of pregnancy and one of the rules of bedrest has always been to drink plenty of water..preterm labor can result from dehydration...so Ive always drank between 32-64 oz of water daily in addition to milk & oj with meals...
Never did a bit of good..
They say that lying on your left side will help the bloating in the ankles and feet...

Re: ? about bloat
I was told if you drink lots of water AND exercise you can minimize the bloating.
