About filing for STAR
Not sure if I should use a consultant or file for myself? It it that difficult?

Applying for star? You just fill out a form. Are you talking about disputing your taxes? That's something different.

STAR is a very easy 1 page application you fill out. You don't need a consultant or lawyer to help you.

No, it was something in the mail about filing for star which we haven't done yet. We've grieved our taxes though.

are you in nassau or suffolk? nassau its a one page application. in suffolk i believe its more of an application unless im mistaken?

I wouldn't hire anyone in fact our town sent us the application with all the info we needed for free. Very easy...

Its just a form u fill out and bring to the town u belong to halls. You should be able to do it by yourself.

Fill out and mail certified maiil to make sure they received it. You can fill out yourself in 5 minutes!! There are deadlines though so make sure you get yours in by the required date....
