?? about French Pedicures
I have never gotten one and really wanted to for our cruise next week but my sister said they don't last as long as a regular nailpolish and with the ocean water, it might chip before our cruise ends (9 days). Does anyone get french done and does it not last as long as regular polish? I don't want to waste my money and then it will look bad. Thanks!

I only get french pedicures so I don't really know how they hold up compared to regular pedicured. Just bring a clear polish with you and go over it every few days you should be fine.

If you are going to be in the salt water, the white may discolor or chip more easily than just a solid color. That would bother me, so maybe get a light color like Sugar Daddy, Soca, or Ballet Slipper?

Mine last a long time - easily 2 weeks.
I love French Manicures but they only last a few days on me.
If you're doing hiking, bug spray with DEET will destroy any nailpolish.

This is true - but any of those colors may color from the sun, ocean, sunscreen, etc. They should last about the same amount of time though.

Good point...hmm.maybe just a pink then..I always feel like polish gets so gross after sun, sand, water and sunscreen....

Re: ?? about French Pedicures
french are just fine in salt water! i always get french on my hands and feet...hands they last less than a week before they fade or chip, but my feet last 3 weeks minimum.
i was on my HM for over 2 weeks and the polish was perfect the whole time. unless you have some weird talent where you can eat and write with your feet, you'll be just fine since your toenails don't get banged as much as your fingernails

I always try to use a color I can touch up (either bring one or buy the one they use)- I have found ocean water does tend to make the polish come off much quicker than usual.

Re: ?? about French Pedicures
Mine always chip within a few days. I use a bottle of white nailpolish to fill in the chips until my next pedi
