? about how babies hold up their heads....
so my girlfriend just emails me and says she just came home from a pediatrician visit and was told her baby is not holding up her head properly (shes 6 months) and now she has to see a neurologist? has anyone ever heard of this or knows anything about this

I don't know, I do know that Hayley needs more tummy time to help strengthen her neck muscles. Her Dr told me this at her 4 month appointment.

One of the ways babies get better at head control is by spending lots of supervised time on their tummies. Maybe she just wasn't getting enough tummy time and that's why she's not as good at it.
It was hard for us too because Jake hated it but little by little he got better at it.

i spoke to my gf and she said her daughter is looking more towards the right... not straight... she'll keep me posted after she sees the other doc on monday....

My friend had that problem with her daughter. The baby would always look to the right so the Dr said to start putting the tv or what ever she was looking at on her left to get her to turn her head. They started that when she was about 3 months old and she is fine now (she is 6 months old now)
