About how much do you spend on plants/flowers every spring or year?
I'd like to start budgeting for new plants every spring.
Also does anyone start plants indoors?

About how much do you spend on plants/flowers every spring or year?
I spent about $120 for flowers for a small bed we have that also has some year round plants in it - I think I bought about 18 or so small pots of flowers. I will probably spend about another $100 - $150 for another area that I haven't gotten to yet. It definitely adds up quickly

Flowers with mulch anywhere from $30-40. I try and buy perennials to cut down the amount each year.

$20 for mulch and less than $30 for flowers. I am not into gardening, lol, and my mother is always abls to split her flowers and bushes and brings them over for my yard!

We are redoing 1 garden bed each year because it has gotten so expensive. We have been here 2 years. First year was $200- mulch, rental of a tiller, and a few flowers. This year it was about $500- we are using rubber mulch, and redid 2 garden beds.

It completely varies. I think I spent $100 my first year. This year I spent a small fortune on my vegetable garden. I bought a raised bed kit, tons of soil, a grow light, seeds, peat pods... and then had to buy a bunch of plants because my &%$# cat ate my seedlings.
I do start plants indoors though. You'll need a good grow light (got mine on Amazon), peat pods in a tray, and labels.

It definitely varies each year depending on what we see or find what we like.
Although this year; we bought Forsythia trees for $1 in Clearance at Lowes. 2 Rose Bushes for $5 also at Lowes. And 2 Butterfly Bushes for $10 at Lowes.
So there's my savings for this year. Not sure if we will ever get a find like that again.
