? about skin irritation...
My DD has a skin irritation on her neck, in between her skin folds. It is very red and smells HORRIBLE (like fish YUCK!)
Does anyone have any ideas on how to clear it up?
I wanna take her to the dr but since my BF lost his job she dosnt have insurence so im trying to avoid that. im in the process of getting her on the child health plus but that wont go into effect until Nov 1.
TIA

DS had this. It turned out to be a yeast infection in his neck from sweating. The pediatrician gave us a cream to put in the folds of his neck for a few days. After it cleared up, we put baby cornstarch in the area to prevent it from coming back.

I would call the ped. and explain the situation and see if you can get a cash discount if you bring him in.

thanks for answering! after i posted this i gave her a bath and put some j&j powder with cornstarch on it. im a lil nervous about that tho because the dr told me to stay away from powder because if DD breathes it in it can cause phenmonia (i butchered that one ) so i was really careful and put it on my hand first before putting it on her neck. im hopeing that works!
