Accident with a leased car
So, I was rear ended yesterday in my leased Jeep.The adjuster from the other guy's ins. came and I should be getting my check soon. Since this is my first leased car, I'm not sure what happens as far as letting Jeep know what happened. Will I have to pay some type of penalty when we return it in January? TIA!

no...at the end of the term, they will inspect it. if its fully repaired, you are fine.
the check may come to you, then you would send it to the bank to endorse and they would send it back to you.
(helps if you already paid autobody or can't start repair until check is cash
or
take the check to auto body and they will send in the check to be endorse to them..some will take the check as payment even though its written to the bank.
..there are other senerios but those are the basics..

I am sorry to hear about your accident. But like other posters said, as long as it is fixed, you are OK.
And I understand your fustration, same thing happened to me at the begining of the month.

don't tell them anything.. I was rear ended twice in a leased car, got it fixed both times, nothing happened when I turned in the car.
