accountant question
We are in Seaford, soon to be Mineola, and looking for an accountant. We did our taxes this year for ourselves via TurboTax but now that we just bought our co-op we have a question about how many deductions we should take? Does anyone have the name of a reasonably priced acct for a consultation and also if you wouldnt mind sharing your opinion.... we have no other deductions except the co-op and currently claim 0.... I'm totally new to this... thanks!

Re: accountant question
I don't know if my acct will give a consult but you can try. IT's the Imperato Agency in Queens on Grand Ave. I see Anthony Jr.
We take a total of 4 allowances. We own two properties but they are houses. Everyone is different though. Just keep in mind that the more allowances you take, the less you will get back at the end.

Go to www.irs.gov..they have a deduction calculator that will let you know what you should be claiming...
New York State Department of Taxation and Finance has paper work that you can download that will help you with the deductions.

Re: accountant question
DH did the calculator there and it came back with something which I think sounds crazy -- 10 and 6 allowances!
