Accupuncture or boosting fertility with herbs, and info on preseed?.....

My sister and I were discussing this... anyone think of trying this? Who do you use? Where do they put the needles? Sorry to sound so ignorant on the subject...I am so scared of accupuncture- does it hurt? I cannot imagine needles being relaxing... and has anyone used herbs to boost there fertility? If so which ones? TIA! I figure anything can help! Also, any info on preseed?

Hi there, it's funny you posted this because I was just talking about this. I am planning on trying it in the near future. I have to get an HSG and depending on that outcome, I will then turn to accupuncture. Never had it, but have heard amazing things about it. I do not have any referrals, but hear people on these boards speaking of an Andrea Huggler at LI Hollistic. If you google it, they have a site.

The person I might go to works in the spa at my gym - I have heard she has done unbelievable things to people regarding fertility....she gives out herbs, does the accupuncture, etc. As far as it hurting - I have heard that it does not, just feels like light pinching. However, I have no experience with it. I am using Vitex now, I bought it in GNC and we shall see how that works. A girl on here had it shorten her cycle and she got a BFP!!

Best of luck...

I have gone to Andrea Huggler. She is great-very sweet and knowledgable. Accu does not hurt. It is a pinching sensation while they put the needle in and then nothing-it is extremely relaxing too. There are only certain points that pinch anyway(ears for me) others you don't even know they put the needle in. The buzz about accu and fertility is from this study:

Remember-your mind has a POWERFUL impact on your body so even you thinking how scared you are of pain may be doing something physically to your body. It has been shown in studies that women who are stressed have lower fertility rates and poorer outcomes when they do get pregnant so really try to relax. Women have been birthing for millions of years and that is probably the most painful part you will go through. Testing, accu and the rest is just a means to an end.
