Take an advil/tylenol before.

You will be exposed so be open minded about the positions you might be asked to be in.

I'm very open minded about positions, just a little scared about how it feels.....

How soon before should I take the tylenol?

All I have to say is the wax that they put on and actually peel off hurts a lot less then when they put on wax and use a paper strip to take it off. Check into that!!

I take advil about 30 min - 1 hour before.

The woman I go to now (I'm in CA so this won't help) is SUPER fast, and I think that helps a lot. I'm in and out in <15 min.

They also have "no scream cream" here... it's a topical cream that lessens the pain.

Just keep in mind that it gets less and less painful everytime you go! For my first, my legs were SHAKING! Now, it's not so bad at all. AND, the more you go, the longer you'll stay smooth!

Good luck. It's totally worth it! I'll never go back to shaving!

For another Queens recommendation, I go to Christie's Salon in Bay Terrace, Bayside. Rosetta is awesome-very fast and thorough. Definitely take a tylenol beforehand and just be open minded! It goes by quickly and you'll be SO happy afterwards. Good luck!

So I went to my new lady yesterday. Her name was Maria and she was awesome. She actually used that numbing spray on me which I have never used before, and I think it worked. She did it in the fewest number of "pulls" possible and the hard wax was less painful than regular waxing ( definitely! ).

The only thing is that she wasn't as meticulous as my last lady. That was partly my fault though - she told me to keep checking to see if there was anything she missed and to be honest, when i am in pain and exposed like that I just want it to be overwith so I told her it was fine - she kept insisting that I check more thoroughly but I just wanted OUT! When I got home I saw a few hairs that she missed, but nothing terrible and next time I will just look more carefully when she asks me to.

Anyway, she made me feel very comfortable - I liked her and will be using her again!

its too bad they cant do braz waxing while your at the gyno- its already out there, and probably more comfortable than putting your choch in a strangers face.
