ack! what to do - dd's christening dress is a bit loose
Okay, what should I do ladies? I just tried Emily's christening dress on Sarah and it's bigger than I thought it'd be. Sarah is larger than Em was at 3 mths but Emily was almost 6 mths when we christened her. So it makes sense that the dress fits looser, but she's kinda swimming in the thing
The christening is in TWO weeks. I could try and get someone to tailor it for me but I can't imagine how much that would cost not to mention we don't have a ton of time. But I wonder if it's really necessary? On one hand I think, will anyone even really notice? The baby will be passed around a bit and then probably napping the whole time, but on the other I think, this was an expensive gown and this is probably the last time I'll use it! So I want it to fit, kwim?
What do you think? Big, right?!

I would let her wear it as is, but if you want to have it taken in, I have a GREAT seamstress who works out of her house in Wantagh. Her FT job is doing alterations at Bridal Reflections Massapequa.

I think it's fine - she's a beautie!!!!!!!!
My DD wanted OUT of her christening dress the second the ceremony was over, so I wouldnt bother with alterations.
The dress is gorgeous.

I would leave it, it is absoutely fine the way it is....
and you will probably change her out of it after pics and ceremony anyway...no need to go through with alterations! Save some $$$!
