Activities for toddlers in Queens/Nassau?

DH is off from work for the next few weeks and will be home with DD. DD is 19 months old.

We are looking for inexpensive/free activities for DH to do with her. He took her to the library yesterday for music/story time and they had a blast.

Other than library programs, are there any programs he can take DD to in Queens or Northwest Nassau? We are in the Bayside/Whitestone area.

I would prefer not to sign up for anything that has a time commitment because we do not know when he will return to work.

Re: Activities for toddlers in Queens/Nassau?

NY hall of science has a preschool play area for kids under 5. They have free admission on Fridays from 2-5pm.

I think she's too little but I also like the play area at the McDonalds on Springfield and LIE.

Not sure of prices but your dh should check open play at Gymboree, my gym, etc. They also may offer trial classes.

Also Chuck e cheese, it may be enough for her just to run around, and there are usually coupons floating around

Z, we just tried open play at Kids Playhouse in Astoria this week. It was a ton of fun for DS. They have a little toddler area, a gym thing, and video game machines for older kids. Open play is $7.

Is the NY hall of science good for 15 month olds? To the OP, hello! I am in the Whitestone/Bayside area too!

The toddler room in Hall of Science is great for 15 month.

Also on a nice day you can wander around Queens Farm Museum for free and see the animals.
