Activity Ideas for a 9 year old...
Hi! My DH was married before and has two kids - an 11 and 9 year old....
the 11 year old is a boy and the 9 year old is a girl.
I have figured out that the 9 year old and I get along FAMOUSLY when I have some sort of activity for us to do together. I think that it is a bonding thing....
In any event, they are sleeping over for an entire week starting tomorrow (I think their mother is going away or something)...
Can anyone give me some good activity ideas that I can plan while she is staying with us? She loves art and is VERY creative.
Two weekends ago, we made a gingerbread house and we also made personalized mouse pads (I bought a kit where you can print out and iron on a picture onto a mouse pad)....those two were BIG HITS with her!

Go to Michaels and look around!
Maybe those pot holder loom things? Or you can get some beads and make necklaces?

I agree. Go to Michaels or AC Moore & let her pick an activity. Maybe start a scrapbook with her for all her visits with you.
