Acupuncture for infertility
I am looking to try acupuncture to help my husband and I conceive. We have a 20 month old and had not problem the first time. But that is not the case now! It has been almost 1 year. I know stress and having a lot more on our plate now has a lot to do with it! So I am lookiing for an acupuncturist on the south shore (nassau/suffolk border) to help with stress and open up some "blockages". I have done acupuncture in New Hampshire with an amazing person...and now I need someone here who is just as wonderful! So please send me suggestions!!! I have been told Andrew Kaplan in RVC and I drove past a place called For Yourself in Bellmore on Merrick Rd was wondering if anyone has used either and what was the experience like? THANKS!

Re: Acupuncture for infertility
I have been going to Andy Kaplan for about 2 weeks now and I would definitely recommend him. He takes insurance if yours covers it. Definitely check him out. Let me know if you have any questions.

Re: Acupuncture for infertility
I love Andy. I used him for my second IVF cycle and I believe it made a huge difference.

Re: Acupuncture for infertility
I've been seeing Dr. Li in Huntington for almost 3 years. I saw Andy first, but after seeing Dr. Li I didn't think Andy held a candle to him. Dr. Li is an MD in China and a PhD here, so I feel he is much more qualified than really anyone else I've found nearby (and I looked for a long time). Because he's a real doctor, a lot of insurance will cover him. Mine insurance (UH) will only cover if it's performed by and PhD. He can also prescribe Chinese herbs. I saw him regularly to get pregnant with DS (who is 19 mos) and started seeing him again a few months ago. Every time I've done an IVF cycle where I've gotten a BFP I have seen him, the one time I got a BFN I wasn't doing acupuncture. His website is mdacupuncture.net. Good luck!!!

Re: Acupuncture for infertility
I saw Ron Sandoval in Huntington (Huntington Welness Center) from January 2011 until I received my BFP. I then stuck with him for the first 5 months of the pregnancy. He was very reassuring and caring. He also will help you with costs if you can't afford to come the recommended times per week.
