Added Link towards bottom: Eyeshadow Reccomendation - Blows UD Naked AWAY!!

So, I was a huge fan of the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette for a while but I got so bored with it. The colors weren't a very good variety and it ended up getting a bit "slimey" for lack of a better word by the end of the day. I was so excited when the MATTE Palette came out and when it arrived in the mail, I was beyond disappointed. It had the repeat of the "Foxy" color. The dark/light colors didn't blend well.

Anyway, I went to Sephora to complain and return the Naked Matte and the salesgirl recommended an alternate palette. I am in LOVEEEEEE. I can't say enough good things, the colors are fun, blend well, can be very light or dark depending on the look you're going for.

Just thought i'd share in case anyone else felt the same or was looking for good eyeshadow:

Are these matte shadows ?

I don't like the way sparkly looks on me and I think I'm too old to wear sparkly anyway.

how old?

im 36 and use the shimmer colors.
as long as blended well, looks great on any age

Eyeshadow Reccomendation - Blows UD Naked AWAY!!

I'm not really sure about the Hazel colors because i've only used the brown. However, the brown ones did look a little shimmery so I was hesitant but when applied, it looks very nice. One color has a touch of shimmer but not overpowering at all. The good things about Sephora is that if you purchase it and end up hating it, they will take it back. It's really beautiful.

Not sure if this is helpful but figured i'd try to capture the actual color to show you how shimmery it is/isn't - according to your taste. The colors do look shimmery in the container but once applied, they are softer. I laid it on extra dark so you can see the color but they blend well and go on light. HTH

I found this link just now for application, it really shows how light/blendable/smokey the colors are. I'm clearly obsessed lol sorry if it's too much, I just love this. It's the first product that i've found in a while that I really love this much so i'm excited:

A few months ago I bought a Too Faced quad shadow and I like it but don't love so this may be a good alternative.

I watched the YouTube makeup tutorial. Why do they make it look so easy and then I try to do it myself and end up looking like a clown!

I didn't bother with getting the NAKED 2 palette. I loved the first one and I use the matte palette everyday. I'm loving these Smashbox ones though. I may have to go check them out in Sephora today! Thanks!

But I will take your word for it. I do know what you mean about it sliding off your face by day's end.

I wonder if they have samples.
