Adding a bathroom
Do you need a CO/permit? Will your taxes go up?

no one would know but just remember that you would have to get one if/when you go to sell. alot of people have added bathrooms without CO's and then sell (it will usually say "not represented" on the listing).

Re: Adding a bathroom
You can go an get the CO after the fact, when you want to sell. Your best bet if you go that option is to make sure you hire licensed contractor who know what the code is. Because if the bathroom is not built to code when you do go for the CO or permits you will have to redo it up to code.
