Adopt-a-Pet- Farmingville
Has anyone ever heard of them? Looking to find a home for my mom's cat, I just don't know if this place is legit or not.

You could try contacting rescue groups as well. Google Long Island rescue groups or the Long Island Cat Project.
I don't know what Adopt-a-Pet is, but I would be very careful of shelters. Many that claim to be no-kill are actually kill.
