I know ANimal Haven in Flushing, Queens is doing something. So is North Shore animal league

Ther Petco's adoptions are run by a small/medium non profit organization...My Mom adopted a Cat from them...I dont think I heard any them doing any adoptions due to the Hurricane though...
Try the ASPCA...they were doing a lot to help the animals...
