Re: Advent Bottle Users....
My friends had lots of leaking problems with theirs too so they switched to Dr. Browns. I use Dr. Browns and so far they don't leak.

Yes, just test in the sink first. Eventually, you'll be used to closing them and they won't leak as much.
We had switched to Dr. Brown's because of this. But in the end they were worse to clean (we don't have a dishwasher), and went back to Avent.
Next child I'll still use avent!
ETA: If you heat the bottle up it also helps to keep the top off when heating!

Re: Advent Bottle Users....
I used them for a year with my DS and at least 4 times a week the bottle would leak, it was so annoying no matter how much I didnt tighten it it would still leak. Now for my DD I switched to the playtex drop ins and I couldnt be happier. They are so much easier to use plus I dont have to worry about the BPA stuff. I will be throwing out about 20 advent bottles this weekend.

i use the avent bottles and have no problems..If they do leak it is because it is too tight, so i'll take it off screw it back on and its fine!

Re: Advent Bottle Users....
You have to get those darn tops on JUST right- I got so annoyed I had to get rid of them! But we found Dr Brown just better all around as far as leaking and tummy upsets-I found DS got way more air with the Advent because the nipples are so huge! Good luck-get lots of burp cloths!-LOL

Re: Advent Bottle Users....
As other posters have said, if they are too tight they will leak. I still found them better than other bottles. You just have to readjust ever once in a while.
