advice and ideas needed..please! play with me!
Hi pregnant mamas!
Congrats to you all! I used to lurk her all the time, my 4 kids now have me extremely busy!
I have a 15, 14 and 3 1/2 year old twins.
here is my question, I am sure as well all do you dream about the perfect shower, what it will look like, favors, centerpieces, colors everything!
Indulge me.
If you can have the pefect shower what would it be?
anything out of the ordinary you would want or that you have seen? even celebrity related, and pics?
I have to help my friend throw one for her sister in law. She is looking for something chic, very different, classy, and we are throwing it outside in a garden.
Ok let me have all your ideas!! pretty please!

I wish I could help more... it sounds like the shower you're throwing will be completely different than the one we're going to have. Mine's at my house and very low-key. Appetizers, cheese, a chocolate fountain (or so I've heard whispers... I'm not allowed to know everything)... I believe they're doing a french provincial theme because it's where we spent our HM, but are going to do purple and green colors instead of blue and yellow. I've heard talk of tapinads and mediterranean bites. Sounds like way too much work to me!!!
The only games I really want played is bingo when I'm opening presents (so people have things to do) and I want there to be a "paint the onesies" activity. Basically, we'll have blank onesies and fabric paint and all the guests will be asked to design a onesie for the baby.  Practical and fun!
I like the idea of something casual but with a lot of activities so people who don't know each other can interact without it being awkward.
I'm sure whatever you plan for your SIL will be wonderful!
I've heard some ladies mention wishing wells, or a library wishing well and that sounds like a great idea, too!

i just want something non-fussy. i feel very awkward when people give me presents, let alone staring at me and my belly!
the only things i can think of that i really want (and am doing!) is making a "predictions" sheet for everyone that comes to the shower. the sheet will have people's guesses for what the baby's name, appearance, likes, dislikes, etc. will be. i'll take everyone's predictions and put them in a book so that she can look back at it one day and see what all of our close friends and family thought she would be like!

no I love these ideas! wow! I love the french theme! I can totally incooperate this! wow, like french lavender at tables and all. I remember seeing Britney Spears shower years ago and thought I saved info. The colors were spectacular and the theme was so different!
keep the ideas coming! I feel like I am visually at your girls showers!!!

I would like centerpieces with white hydrangeas (dont have to be big...but they are pretty and smell great). I LOVE the book wishing well...so cute...and really useful!
I tend to like more elegant themes rather than 'baby' themes
I like the idea of Baby Shower Bingo...because it does get the guests going!!
Yummy food.
I really want a corsage 
I don't know why, I just feel like I should have one! hehe!

The first thing that came to mind was a tea party! Something fun and not stuffy. Maybe buy hats a thrift store for each seat. I think it would work great with a parisian theme since you want to do out doors.
I also like the book wishing well. I am not into shower games.
