Advice Needed...
DH went to the dentist yesterday for some work. He was to get a fill in. Dentist told him to bite down on something. DH did and heard a noise but didn't think anything of this. After the novacain wore off, DH noticed a jagged edge on his perfectly good tooth. It was cracked. DH put two and two together and realized that the dentist cracked his tooth.
On top of this, they charged 200 bucks for the work. In two weeks DH owes another 200 for additional work. Now he needs this tooth fixed. I am SO pisssed!!!!
I did some research and learned that this is considered malpractice. A tooth is worth 20 grand. Yikes. Who knew that!? So, I called the dentist and he said "He has to come in and I'll see what I can do for him."
I told DH that he is not to pay him a fricken dime. If he doesn't fix it free of charge, I am calling a lawyer.
But if you were in MY shoes, how would you handle this?

Sorry this has happened.
First, don't overreact. Let the dentist fix his tooth.
Then discuss how it happened and what the dentist will do.
You may be surprised that you won't have to fight.

Thanks- DH is going there right now. Dentist is looking at his tooth. I will provide an update. Hopefully all goes well!!!!!

It IS malpractice. A tooth is worth 20 grand. I didn't believe it at first but several people told me. Especially a co-worker who's brother is a dentist.
DH went to the dentist and everything went well. Dentist apologized and fixed it free of charge.
