Advice needed on bedding gift for x-mas.

My MIL - who I do have a good relationship with - gave us a Winnie the Pooh crib set for DS (due Feb 21, 2008), it's our second child so we of course did not register. When she asked what we would want for x-mas I said separates are nice (bumper, sheets, etc) because I felt that I could do more neutrals and get more for my money this time around. So I said light blues, greens, yellows, etc.

I am not a fan (no offense) of cartoon characters and I am trying to like the darn thing but I get an irritated feeling inside myself when I see that big Winnie the Pooh scene on the blanket.

Here's the situation; she didn't give me the receipt, she said that she has the receipt but because the price is on it - she would return it if we didn't like it. I really find a lot of difficulty telling people that I don't want what they gave us. She was so excited and thought it was so cute but.............cartoons. I'm a solid or ginham person so this is something.

Should I just suck it up - it's not that horrible and I could get another set down the road?

I feel so stupid stressing over something so petty - it's a generous gift.

Just tell her you really appreciate the gift but you already had a theme picked out.

Just be honest and either you or DH tell her. Why should you have something you do not love? I am sure she will understand. It will be harder on you than it will on her.
