Advice needed-work related

I had my first day at work today! It went well, but I need some advice.

1. My back was absolutely killing me today-I was achy and crampy by the end of the day and my feet hurt (I changed into flip flops which helped) Anything I can do?

2. How do you get over exhaustion without coffee? I know I can have one cup, but it isn't cutting it!

Thanks Chat Icon

Michelle, do you sit at a desk a lot? If so, get a little foot stool to put under for desk to keep for feet on. Also, use a lumbar pillow on your chairs!

ETA: The exhaustion will just ease on its own, give it a few weeks and you should feel a lot better. That is until you hit 30 weeks :(

I was going to also suggest a small foot stool and make sure you get up every 15 minute or so to walk and strech.

Exhaustion - I don't know. I'm working part-time, got laid off in Dec. from my full tim job, and I am exhausted all the time -don't know how I woulda been full time. Plenty of water I guess and fruit, natural sugar:)

lots of cold water helps keep me going - also try eating every few hours to keep an even sugar level

I take naps on the conference room table Chat Icon

seriously I finally had it with exhaustion and pain, and told my office manager I'm sorry but I need the conference room for 20 minutes. I go in lock the door, jump on the table and take a load off. I as bringing a blanket, I think I may upgrade to a pillow tomorrow.

As for the caffeine withdrawl, I try to pace around a little to get blood flowing, and if that doesn't work I have white tea with lots of sugar.

Re: Advice needed-work related

Eat many small snacks throughout the day, but make sure they are not too high in sugar or that will bring you up and then way down

Get to bed at a decent hour, no more posting at midnight!!!! Get you body used to goign to bed early and getting up early.

It will get easier once you adjust to your new routine, I promise!
