advice on travel with baby!
I have to go to a wedding in South Jersey and stay over in a hotel for 2 nights bc I am in the bridal party and we have the rehearsals and a brunch etc...
Here is what I need to know -- how do you travel with a 4 1/2 month old?? How did you deal with formula feeding and refrigeration? How do you sterilize bottles in a hotel room? What do I need to know to do this? I seriously have heart palpitations just thinking of it.

We haven't travel with them yet. the bottle situation you can wash with hot soapy water, bring a pack and play for the baby to sleep in. are you taking the baby to the wedding?

I do not want him at the reception, I don't think a huge room full of 150 pairs of hands and thumping music is a place for a 4 month old... but will bring to ceremony.

I agree with that.

Same here! I am freaking out about our trip next month!
I would love to hear suggestions too!
We are flying, so not for us but I did hear they sell minifridges for the car - that might be an option. You can then unplug it and bring it in to the hotel. How many ounces is your DC eating? That might make the difference between the cans of already made, powder and the larger already made formula.

Re: advice on travel with baby!
We traveled to FL with DD over x-mas, she was 8 1/2 months. I would say a pack-n-play or something for DC to sleep in. Some hotels offer cribs you could call ahead, if you go that route, I would take your own bedding. There was a thing on the news about hotel cribs and it said that most don't take care of the cribs so that is why we didn't use one at the hotel.
Bottles, I brought dish detergent and a bottle brust and washed them in the sink with hot, hot water. You could see if they have a microwave in the room and you could use the microwave sterilzer.
I brought a towel and wash cloth of hers with me also.
That is all I can think of for now. Oh, it was really a pain to have them sleep in the same room b/c you had to be so quite about everything. DD only slept in our room for the first month after she was born so we were not use having to share a room with her.

Re: advice on travel with baby!
honestly, i bf and pump so we bought a small plug in travel refrig and brought it with us....it was perfect and worked in the car too....i didn't sterilize bottles, just bourght enough of them and then worried about it when we went home! (is your hotel booked or can you look into suites that may be available? they might have a microwave/refrig in them!)
don't worry - you survive and it winds up being fun! (plus you prove you can do it!!)
