Wow. Run on sentencesChat Icon

I would wear whatever dress you love. I can't picture going in a white wedding dress to the JOP because being married by the JOP in itself is knocking the tradition.

Personally, I think I'd opt for simple for Friday - then after the twins were born, get my tush in shape for a trash the dress shot with my husband.

Hey girlie! Chat Icon

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS on tying the knot this week! I'm so happy for you!

I'm with your man -- wear whatever you want in whatever color that you feel pretty in. The most important thing is you are marrying the man you love Chat Icon

I am truly sorry that his family are so horrible to you, but thank goodness you will be living closer to your family, who will LOVE your little boys so much!!!

Re: advice..a little lengthy LOL sorry!

i think you should wear anything that you like- anything that makes you feel beautiful -since you know your FH already feels that way.

As far as your relationship with his family goes, im sorry that they upset you and your FH - you mention that you have gone through some some bad things and that now you are taking the high and right road - good for you - does that include discussing the past rather than forgetting it -

i just know how much animosity in families can hurt children - even when they are little somehow then know, and if you have and they cant get over it and move on - then you can just do the same and move on

I'm very sorry that you and your FH are going through this - especially during what should be such a wonderful and happy time!!!! It's their loss.

With that said, it's great that your family is so loving and supportive. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding ceremony! Chat Icon

I agree with the previous posters. Wear something comfortable that you feel great in, and enjoy your day! The white dress isn't what makes the day special. and it sounds like you have a wonderful man who knows you will look beautiful in anything.

Best of luck!

Congrats to you on your twins and on finding true love Chat Icon

DH and I also did a civil ceremony. We both had really nice outfits picked out. I had a really nice black and white dress, he was going to wear nice pants, shirt and tie. We were getting dressed, just about to put our shoes on and he said ' God this is not my style, but its only for a few hours'. I said ' If i could go in jeans I would'. And at the same time, we both looked at each other and grabbed our jeans and off we went!

It was great because 1- we were completely comfortable and 2- afterwards we went out to dinner and then for a walk in Port Jeff. It was perfect actually! Do what makes you feel good all the way through.

AND... don't worry so much about the other side of the family. It's their loss. DH's mom basically has called me the Devil Reincarnated and i've finally learned to blow her off. Chat Icon

Have a great day on Friday and everyday therafter! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: advice..a little lengthy LOL sorry!

Well, you can be happy in knowing your future husband is a good man to you and you're going to have a beautiful family together! That's all that matters!!!!! Screw the in laws if they're no good to you you do not need them in your life. But anyway back to the fashion aspect of the wedding, how about some kind of blue dress? Or any dress that's babydoll/umpire waist is always flatering for pregnant women. Good luck finding something!!!
