Re: AF-like cramps at 5 weeks
i had cramps all the way up until about 10 weeks. it felt like i was getting af. my dr told me cramps (w/o bleeding)is good. it means your uterus is expanding for the baby.

Re: AF-like cramps at 5 weeks
I know how you feel. I'm about 5 weeks also and I am feeling the same thing. I asked a nurse at my OB's office yesterday and she said that you can experience cramps and not to panic unless they are extreme and you have bleeding too. Made me feel a little better - hope it helps you too!

Re: AF-like cramps at 5 weeks
Normal! I had cramps daily from about 4 weeks (before I knew I was pg) through 6 weeks, and then frequently (but not daily) until about 10 weeks. I'm always feeling something.

Re: AF-like cramps at 5 weeks
Totally common. I had them through my first tri and into my second. As long as there is no bleeding and they are not strong enough to "knock you over" then I would not be concerned.
Of course if you are ever worried about anything, call your OB. And don't worry if you think you are calling too much. At one point I was calling Dr H's office once a day. Louise knew my voice by heart within a few weeks

Re: AF-like cramps at 5 weeks
I had AF cramps consistently through my entire first tri. Now at 17.5 weeks, I still have them on occassion. I am told it's totally normal!!

Cramps are FINE as long as you are not bleeding.

Re: AF-like cramps at 5 weeks
I am still getting cramps at 7w6d, so I am guessing it is totally normal. Not to worry as long as you have no bleeding.

Re: AF-like cramps at 5 weeks
I definitely had cramps at that point...totally normal as long as you are not in extreme pain and there is no spotting. Still mention it to your dr. though at your first visit! Trust me, from here on in - you are going to feel a lot of weird cramps, pulling, pains etc as your body grows! It's scary but you get used to it
