affording baby #2
So I am returning to work soon, and will be paying for childcare. This really got me thinking about if I had two children in childcare. It seems so expensive, that I don't know that it would be worth it for me to return to work. I make a good salary, but it seems crazy to give half of it to childcare. However, if I didn't have any money coming in I don't know that I could afford two. I want to TTC at some point this year, but now I have myself completly paranoid about money.
I would like to have more than 2 children, but it seems so scary financially. I guess I don't really have a point here, just letting out my fears. Thanks for reading!

Re: affording baby #2
I think it's a normal fear...as baby #1 gets older, the cost of daycare goes down. SOme places even give discounts for more than one child! It will all work out!!

I'll be in the same boat...
the one thing about working /childcare vs SAHM is that your career continues to advance when you work.... it takes a hit if you're home for a few years, and your future income may suffer greatly, depending upon what career you have... that's why I'll work.... hth

Re: affording baby #2
We have baby #2 coming and daycare is just out of the question for us b/c of the cost. Ill be working part time, and when baby #2 gets older, DH and I may switch roles and hell be the SAHD and Ill work FT.

Re: affording baby #2
My personal thoughts are you will always be able to work it out. If we completely left having a baby as a financial decision we wouldn't be able to afford any. it may take some sacrifice to have children but it is up to you and your dh to see what you are comfortable with.
