Aflac and Pregnancy

Does anyone know how many months you need to be NOT pregnant before you sign up for Aflac-for their pregnancy benefits to qualify?

I remember looking at a couple policies when I was thinking of TTCing for DD#1 - with different companies and I think the general rule was 6 months.

Re: Aflac and Pregnancy

it is 10 months...

in other words, you have to be on the plan for 10 months before getting benefits associated with HAVING the baby (going out on disability)

1 month prior to preggo + 9 months utero = after 10 months you can claim benefits

ETA: that was the plan I was offered - it may be different for other companies

It was for the programs I was looking for - but as I said I'm not sure about AFLAC it was just several policies that I had options from.

That info is correct- but an FYI: leave more than 10 months. I had a friend who signed up for the plan and got pg a month later. She thought she was ok until her DS decided to arrive almost 2 months early. She didn't get the benefits.Chat Icon
