After effects of coming off the pill
If this is TMI I'm sorry but I'm very curious. I've seen many of these topics but they were from 2005 and I' new here so I thought I'd ask again.
I stopped taking my BC (ortho tri cyclen lo) around May 13th and my fiance and I have had protected sex (with spermicidal condoms) and I tried to get back onto my cycle for the pill but after a few days I just stopped trying.
My main question is what side effects, if any, you guys had coming off the pill? About how long did it take for you to get back on a regular period schedule? Did anyone have any pregnancy symptoms? Should I take a pg test just in case? I'm a very spiritual person so I like to use pendulums and I asked all 10 of them and they all said no but should I take a pg test to be 100% sure that I'm not?
I am so scared that I might be but I've heard that coming off the pill and stress can delay a period. Any and all information is completely and utterly appreciated.

It absolutely can delay it. It takes 1-6 months to "regulate" after coming off of the pill.
Sounds like you and DH were pretty careful, I would wait another week or 2.
Also, keep in mind, if you stress about it, it can delay it even more.
How long were your cycles before you went on the pill?

it takes a few months to regulate, i would say about 6 months, that is how long it is taking me!
Yes, you might have pg symptoms and i would say to take a test, better safe than sorry!

I was regular my 1st month off the pill!
The only side effects I had were- 1) acne 2) barely any migraines!!

Before I went on the pill It would be the last week into the first week of every month and when I was on the pill it was like clock work I'd have my period the 3rd week of every month.

No bad effects...no breakouts, real weight gain or missed periods...I regulated right away and feel so much better being off of those pills. I was on for 7 or so years. Also I had better period...lighter/less cramps

Me too!!! Well except the regulation part, I am not sure about that but I am the same way. Lighter, shorter period if that's even possible

No, that wouldn't cause a false positive.

No, that wouldn't cause a false positive.
