After the infant carrier which stroller(s) did you use?

Sorry to crash, but I'd love to get some advice from the BTDT moms. I'm probably going to get the Graco Snugride car seat and the Snap 'n Go to use at the beginning, but I'm at a loss as to what stroller(s) to use after DC outgrows that one.

What stroller did you use for your 6+ month old?
What features did you like about that stroller?
Did you use more than one stroller?
Are there any strollers that you registered for that you weren't happy with?

TIA. I really appreciate your help.

I use my Graco Strolller. I love my stroller. It can be heavy but i love it. I have the matching carseat and stroller but they were not a combo set.

I have been using my Peg Perego Pliko P3 stroller since DS was born. He is now 15 months. I used it as a travel system in the beginning with the Peg Perego Primo Viaggio carseat. It is lightweight, but still has basket, tray with cupholder, adult cupholder, recline and huge canopy. It definitely isn't as lightweight as some, but it is a great all purpose stroller. It is the only stroller I have!

We got the Babyjogger City Mini (which is for 6 months and up). It's not a true jogging stroller, but I like to take DS for long walks, and it's perfect for us. Handles like a dream.

I have the BabyJogger CityMini as well.....love it!!! I actually waited to buy a stroller until after DS was born.....I used (and still use) the snap & go intially, but I wanted to wait and see what he would like along with what I would like!

i have a Bugaboo..we live in Brooklyn and take him for walks quite often

we also have a Maclaren for when we travel since it is light weight and easier to fold into the car

I got the entire travel system (carrier & stroller) so right now I'm using the stroller. But I'm going to buy a light weight stroller within the next few weeks cause it'll be easier to travel with that.

I have a bugaboo. It worked as a snap and go with the snugride and now its a regular stroller.

I have a peg pergo stroller that is equivilant to the Graco Quattro Tour. I love it HOWEVER now that DS is out of the infant seat I went out to get a light weight stroller that is more practical for every day use. In hindsight I wish I hadnt registered for my Peg Perego Centro, its big, bulky, heavy, and takes up a large space in my trunk.

I just got the Inglesina Swift, I like it because it reclines, is comfy for my 6 month old, has a nice size sun shade. And I didnt want to spend as much as the Maclarens.

I use Maclaren Quest Sport now after the Graco. We intentionally picked a very lightweight durable stroller because we live in Manhattan and most of the time, I am walking around with DS - we do very little driving so I needed a stroller that would be easy enough to take on the subway also. Love the stroller!

Re: After the infant carrier which stroller(s) did you use?

I have the Graco travel system so I have the big stroller, but I also plan on getting a Maclaren umbrella stroller when DS grows out of his infant seat. The big stroller is great for all day outings, etc. but the lightweight stroller is great for errands, etc.

I use the Inglesina Zippy and I love it too. It is an easy fold, really sturdy and my DS is comfortable in it.

We are going to buy a more lightweight stroller because I am pregnant and often have to carry the stroller down the stairs. And now since we are having another baby we also have to buy a double stroller.

I had my DD in 2006 and got it then. I think that was the last time they made it and then moved on to the P3 which is super similar but a newer model. It's retailing for $109 on Albee baby. I paid close to $300!!

Re: After the infant carrier which stroller(s) did you use?

i have had 2 graco quattro tours for my kids. they are great. the only drawback is they get heavy. but they are bigger than the really lightweight strollers. so the chlld has tons of room. my reasons for liking it: the basket sides fold down so you can always get into it, even if the child is lying flat in it. it has 4 position recine, the tray flips up on a hinge, you don't need to take it off (like i did with my old metrolite) PLus, and this is a big one, the things folds down to sit on all 4 wheels. my old metrolite foled so it landed on the tray and the tray was disgusting from using it a couple of months. it can also hold the snugride or the safe seat if you don't want to use the snaqp n go. or what i did, snap n go in the car and stroller in the house, so i put the infant seat into a stroller indoors and didnt have to put it on the floor all the time.
