After the inspection....

how did you ask the sellers to fix stuff? The inspector found some minor things that needed to be fixed in the house. Most we are willing to fix ourselves but there are 3 things that we would like the sellers to fix and the inspector recommended that we have them fix them. My lawyer's secretary said that this is something that we negotiate with the seller/RE agent direct and if there is a "problem" we will put it in the contract. How do we negotiate with the sellers about this? I would think that we would have to put something in writing because if they say verbally they are going to fix something and then don't, aren't we SOL? How did you get your sellers to fix stuff in the house before buying it?

The sellers agent was there when we had the inspection done....And he gauranteed us that the work will be done....

If there is any problems with the house, the seller is responsible to fix all of the problems.

We had 3 or 4 problems and they were all fixed already...

The seller's agent was at our inspection also, we told her what we wanted done and it was added into the contract that they would take care of said problems before closing.

we wrote out a "wish list" of things we wanted fixed... gave a copy to both our attorney and RE agent... one of the two people gave it to the sellers who then returned the list with the things they would fix... those things were then written into the contract...
