Afternoon's are KILLING me...

Afternoon's are truly my downfall. I eat lunch at school at about 12:30, get home at around 4:30, but DH doesn't get home until 8:30.

I have a WW 2 point bar after school (to keep my hand out of the chocolate basket in the work room Chat Icon ) and I made a little chicken wrap (whole wheat tortilla, lf cheese, lf sour cream, salsa) and had a small salad when I got home but I'm still hungry! And so ready for dinner! But I don't get to eat for 3 more hours :(

Any suggestions? I don't want to fall into my old habits!

I think you definitely have to add in a healthy snack in the afternoon. I love an organic fuji or honeycrisp apple with 2 table spoons of peanut butter. Perfect combo to keep you full until dinner.

Re: Afternoon's are KILLING me...

DH and I just made the decision to start "doing our own thing" more. We've been married almost two years and have been packing on a few pounds and we realized it was because we were trying to both adjust to each other's eating times and habits. When we were single, we were thinner because we were eating when we were hungry.

We still eat together once or twice a week and on weekends, but it's been a BIG help.

I'd reconsider eating dinner with DH a few nights a week to avoid an extra snack.

Yeah I'd have to agree with this. That is a BIG time difference. Maybe you can eat dinner a couple of hours after you get home and plan for a snack for when DH eats dinner. That way you can sit at the table with him and you won't be starving waiting for him to get home. Chat Icon
