Age to watch Stranger Things?

I believe it's rated 14+. My DD was asking to watch it, she's almost 11, but DH and I felt she was a little young based on the content and age recommendation.

My son is 12 and going into 7th grade and most of his friends that watch have been watching it since season 2. I asked mine if he wants to watch it with me and he does not.

It seems most people I know have let their kids watch this since it first came out, so like 10ish? I don't let my 12 year old watch it (she just finished 6th grade). I also don't let her really watch PG13 movies either. I'm a killjoy

I would have let my son too..I do think it depends on the kid bc my SO's son couldn't handle it. But it's your kid!

I would have let my son too..I do think it depends on the kid bc my SO's son couldn't handle it. But it's your kid!
I doubt my 8 year old would have the attention span to sit through it. I don't and I'm 45.
But if she did, I"d probably let her watch it.

8 and 11... Now 10 and 13 and still huge fans  They always watch with us. Other than the "making out" we felt it was okay.

So funny. Mine are 8 & 11 and literally beg me everyday to watch. My 8 year old acts older than my 11 year old though lol. Most of their friends watch. Seems its the "cool show". I haven't let them yet. I'm on the fence. I agree. The one or 2 epsiodes with the making out is the only thing I feel uncomfortable with. Not sure if they would find it scary, I kind of think not. Thanks for your input everyone!
