Re: Air purifier

I have the sharper image one. I really don't think it's worth the $$.

I have a Holmes one as well. They work well, except you have to buy the replacement filters which are about $30 a pop. Purchased at target.

I have the same one...I don't think it's worth the money either. DH loves it but I'm not that impressed.

Re: Air purifier

Consumer Reports had some info recently that many (but not all) of the Ionizing air purifiers actually make the air much worse, since they produce ozone, and studies have shown that excess ozone is bad to breathe.

Everything that I've read recommends getting a HEPA filtered air purifier. Chat Icon Chat Icon

We've had this Hamilton Beach HEPA air purifier for about 2 years and are very happy with it. I've used it in my boys' bedroom when they're sick and it seems to help.

ETA: We paid $100 for it on Amazon. I believe they have a newer model out now.

Ditto, and we got a Kenmore one. It is awesome and we noticed a difference the first night we used it. We got it when DS got RSV last month.
