Airplane Travel Advice Needed w/10mth old - LONG flight
Okay - so I realize I am nuts but I am taking a trip with my DH and DS in 2 weeks....and its a long flight at 10+ hours.
I don't know if any of you have traveled for this long but I will take any advice...so here are my questions:
1. What do you do to help with the popping ears - DS does not do use a pacifier. I've thought about a bottle but I am concerned he might not take one.
2. What can I use to keep him occupied? The majority of the flight is at night so I am hoping he will sleep (cross fingers)
3. I am packing food, bottles, formula powder, his blanket, extra clothes, medication...
What else should I be thinking about?
TIA

Re: Airplane Travel Advice Needed w/10mth old - LONG flight
We just took Kaydyn to FL in Dec when she was 10 months. It obviously wasn't a long flight, but she was really good the whole time.
She was sick on the way back and the ped suggested giving her tylenol to help with the pain of her ears during takeoff and landing. We gave her a bottle during both these times too.
I packed my carry on with stuff specifically for her (rattles, books, small toys, rings, a couple small stuffed animals, a dvd player with elmo DVDs)
She was in her car seat in her own seat and she actually slept almost the entire way home.
ETA: She was just starting solid food and loved puffs so I packed a bag of them also and gave them to her one at a time. That killed a good 45 mins. I also brought a jar of food to feed her on the plane as well.
