Alaska Weather
For all of you who have been to Alaska.....
DH and I are going on an Alaskan cruise the first week of June. Any suggestions on how to pack?
I've read the temps are low-mid 60s, but being out on a glacier....somehow I find it hard to believe that it won't be freezing!
Any advice is welcome. TIA!

Fleeces, layers, waterproof jacket with hood, good boots, hat, gloves, sunglasses, bug spray. We cleaned out EMS before we went!! You can always take off or add layers....
Suggestions: walkie-talkies, marine radio if you are a geek like DH, gps if you have one (just cuz it's fun to see where you are). Camera.
I carried a knapsack, so I cut put on and take off layers at will.
If you do a Denali tour, take the early morning tour - otherwise you probably won't see any wildlife.
Also -- there is something called Yak Trak -- they attach to the botton of your shoes or boots -- they would be great for the glacier!! I know they have them at Marty's and EMS.
